It’s hard to believe that nearly 23 years have passed since Fire Mountain Solar was founded. At that time, grid tie solar was virtually unheard of in Washington, and in most other places for that matter. Our early days were dedicated to assisting individuals who required electricity for remote locations. We provided system design and product sales for those embarking on DIY projects, as well as conducting a few off-grid installations here and there. And a lot of our time was spent educating those who asked “Does solar even work in Washington?”, because knowledge about solar power was minimal back then.
Fast forward to the present day, where solar energy has become a well-established concept in Washington and grid tie solar systems can be found everywhere. Solar power is no longer solely reserved for individuals striving to make environmentally conscious choices; it has also emerged as a wise financial investment.
Over the years, Fire Mountain Solar has evolved into a leading provider of grid tie and grid hybrid solar solutions, serving the needs of both DIY solar enthusiasts and those seeking professional installation services. And, we have firmly established ourselves as the foremost source of knowledge and expertise in off-grid solar systems within the region, having successfully installed many hundreds of off-grid power systems. In 2023, we installed multiple large off grid power systems, and achieved a significant milestone by installing our largest off-grid power system to date. This impressive system powering a large private compound boasts 50 kW of solar capacity, 40 kW of inverter capacity, and over 80 kWh of energy storage from lithium batteries. That’s a lot of power!
We owe our ability to continue doing what we love to our incredible hardworking team, and to our clientele who have placed their trust in us to deliver the correct power solution, exceptional craftsmanship, and reliable products at a reasonable cost. We are genuinely appreciative of every individual or organization that has chosen us as their contractor throughout the years, with some even returning for multiple projects. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your unwavering support and continued business.
